The Antiquarian Final Idea

My opening is going to feature a young boy who has an obsession with reading books. He has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge that is based in an unknown mental defect. He lives alone in total seclusion, books sent to him from an unknown source in huge boxes, particularly rare and antique books as many modern books he has exhausted of knowledge. A book arrives that is distinclty diffrent, old, ancient, a book that shouldnt have been written or read. A book that many people want, seek to read, destroy or preserve, and the boy is about to read it and become the target of these people, an enemy to the state who knows a secret that could destroy something, something important, something that if it was revealed, could end things as we know them. The boy becomes the sole carrier of the books information and he must go into the world he does'nt understand to escape and find out the truth, pursued by the darkest and strangest seekers of information in the world, from both sides of reality.

The opening is the basis for this narrative, presenting his sheltered existence and introducing the mystery aspect to the entire feature and the idea of imagination and surrealism in the imagery.
