The Inspiration

Sebastian, a young man, has decided to follow instructions intended for someone else, without knowing where they will take him. Something else he does not know is that Gerard Dorez, a cop on a knife-edge, is tailing him. When he reaches his destination, Sebastian falls into a degenerate, clandestine world of mental chaos behind closed doors in which men gamble on the lives of others men.

13, a masterclass in noir thriller hailing from France, is another story of an average man finding something he shouldnt have and being plunged into a world he knows nothing of. A world of death, skil and most importantly luck.

In the world of 13 everything is bleak, the main character is a poor roofer who happens upon an envelope meant for a dead man, he follows the instructions and becomes part of a game, a game where others bet on the lives of men. Because he was desperate enough, he manages to face a world unkown to society, and triumph over it. But in reality, away from the game, the world is even darker and lacing in honour, as 13 suggests in its climax.
